CHEERS TO THE NEW

For the last little while I've been trying to figure out what I really want to blog about. I've been... well, a bit lost. Questions in my head—what should my blog be called? what should it look like design wise? what should I write about? Do I have time to do this with my 40+Hr work schedule, family, and life?

I've decided to name my blog AvenueShe.

Avenue for a place to land and a way to share.

She for just being me—a girl who aspires.

I've decided to write about things I love—shocker... Isn't that what people have a blog for? I'm considering AvenueShe a Lifestyle Blog, but with the goal of being 75% Fashion.

I love fashion, and I don't believe that you have to have thousands-upon-thousands of dollars and each outfit you wear about be worth around $3K without the handbag. High end fashion doesn't always mean high-end design. Lots of fashion bloggers out there have no idea about cut, fit, color... I want to talk about why pieces work on body types so they are worn right—form follows function. Side note: a pair of $1K shoes doesn't mean you have fashion sense.

I'm not saying that high-end designer pieces aren't something I strive to own, because I do, but I also get that magical high off of getting a real deal on something truly beautiful. I shop at places where I can treasure hunt, and I mix pieces based on my own style—not only by a mannequin or a magazine.

I also am not 102 LBS. Maybe fashion can be about more than not eating just to fit into a Stella McCartney.
